Jereh's First Workclass ROV Launch And Recovery System Was Successfully Operated In East China Sea
Recently, the first 3,600m ROV launch and recovery system was successfully operated in East China Sea, which was independently developed and manufactured by Jereh Offshore. The localization rate has reached over 90%, and the performance has reached the international leading level of similar equipment, which broke the monopoly of long-term rental or purchase of foreign similar equipment!
ROV, that’s to say deep-sea remote operated vehicle. ROV and Tethe Management System (TMS) or other lifting equipment are moved from the mother vessel to the side of the vessel. This requires ROV launch and recovery system (hereinafter referred to as LARS systems) to function, which assists the ROV to realize the launch and recovery operation between the deck and the water surface.
ROV can be divided into two types: observation class and workclass. Between them, workclass ROV LARS system is often purchased or leased from abroad because its key technology has been monopolized by developed countries for a long time and the technical difficulty is beyond imagination. To break the monopoly, to master the core technology and to realize the ROV LARS system localization, Jereh R&D engineers did deep research in key technologies through reading a large number of offshore industry standards, and promote the development of offshore engineering, high-end equipment and components by communicating with the supplier for performance and experience, optimize the model and calculation analysis, carry out the comprehensive test for key components in order to verify its feasibility. Finally, after one and a half years, we successfully developed and manufactured LARS system dedicated to 3,600m workclass ROV.
